It's no surprise the Buford Wolves continued their march through the GHSA 5A playoffs Friday night.
The Wolves tenacious defense and the high-flying offense put a wrap on the second round of the playoffs with a 44-11 win against Kell at Tom Riden Stadium in Buford.
It's the 19th consecutive year the No.1-seeded Wolves have secured a spot in the quarterfinal round.
Senior running back Derrian Brown was a big key in the Wolves’ offensive and special teams play against Kell.
The senior Texas-commit rushed for 86 yards and two touchdowns, but the explosive play of the night came on an 81-yard punt return for a TD in the first half.
Thanks to his efforts, Brown has been named the Conditioned Air Systems Athlete of the Week.
AccessWDUN Sports and Friday Game Night's Bo Wilson recently caught up with Brown to talk about his night, the Wolves dominate win and this week’s opponent Bainbridge.
