Lake Lanier rose to full pool Friday for the first time in about two years.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reported that at mid-morning the lake was at 1070.09. Winter full pool is 1070; summer is 1071.
The level has not been this high since February 2016. At the end of 2016, the lake was down 15-plus feet from the start of the year.
As AccessWDUN previously reported, winter rains and other factors have helped to replenish the lake.
