The Gwinnett County Voter Registrations and Elections Division will hold two hiring events for poll workers this week - one of them today and the other on Thursday.

The first is Tuesday, April 10 at the Shorty Howell Park Activity Building at 2750 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth. It will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The next is Thursday, April 12 at OneStop Buford at 2755 Sawnee Avenue in Buford, also from 4 - 7 p.m.

Elections officials said they need bilingual poll workers for the May 22 primary, especially those who speak Spanish.

Gwinnett County Human Resources staff will be onsite to accept applications in person. Computers will be available at the events for applicants to use.

To fulfill federal I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification requirements, applicants are asked to bring documents to verify identity and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
