The 100,000 Opportunities Initiative Atlanta Opportunity Fair hopes to get more than 30 U.S. companies, including Starbucks, Five Guys, FedEx and Walmart in touch with older teens and young adults Thursday.
The job fair is directed towards "Opportunity Youth" between the ages of 16 and 24 who face barriers in employment and education. The fair offers over 1,800 guaranteed job interviews as well as college and career prep resources.
The National Mentoring Partnership and Schultz Family Foundation will also launch their partnership, MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership. They will introduce 40 career coaches to link young people with community and workforce mentors.
The fair is at the Georgia World Congress Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
