Two new physicians join The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center

The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) announced Monday that  two new cardiologists have joined the practice in the Greater Braselton area. 

According to a press statement from NGMC, Jeh-Wei Cheng, MD, is accepting patients at the Braselton and Winder locations; Zaid H. Said, MD, is accepting patients at the Braselton, Winder and Hamilton Mill locations.

"As a cardiologist with The Heart Center of NGMC, I look forward to providing the same great heart care my colleagues at NGMC have been providing for years," said Cheng. 

Cheng received her medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University and fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine.

"As the largest cardiovascular practice in Northeast Georgia, The Heart Center of NGMC has earned the reputation for providing top-rated heart care, close to home,” said Said. 

Said received his medical degree from the University of Baghdad Medical School. He completed is residency in Internal Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. He also completed a fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at the University of Illinois, and another fellowship in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging at Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Said is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
