Lula's Depot Community Center and Spherion Staffing in Gainesville are the winners of this year's Fall Business Beautification Awards from the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce.
Constructed by a community group in the 1980s, the depot building and land were donated to the City of Lula with the understanding that the facility would function as a base for community events. Phase 1 of the project included major renovations to the building, Phase 2 involves the renovation of the performance stage, event seating, landscaping and additional parking. The project is to be completed in mid- December. Hosting Chamber events like the Economic Development Council and Business After Hours are among the anticipated uses the council has identified for the Lula Depot Community Center. CityofLula.com
