Soccer: North Hall splits with Lakeview; East Hall sweeps Banks County

GAINESVILLE — The North Hall boys soccer team racked up four goals in the first half to set the pace and knock off Lakeview, 5-0, Tuesday afternoon at home. 

Edwin Sanchez and Alex Aguilar hit the back of the net in the first 10 minutes of the game to give the Trojans (6-6) a quick 2-0 lead. Austin Godoy booted two goals later in the half, upping the lead at the half, 4-0.

Erin Sanchez added one more for North Hall with a rocket from the top right corner of the 18-yard box.  

After a collision knocked out starting Trojan keeper Ty Smith early in the game, Damon Campbell finished the first half between the sticks.  Smith returned for the second half and held down the shutout. 

In girls action, the Lady Lions held North Hall to one goal in a 4-1 win. Michelle Tymchuk scored off the first-minute corner for the Lady Trojans. 

North Hall play at Jackson County Friday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

 

EAST HALL BOYS 12,
BANKS COUNTY 0

Sergio Turcios scored seven goals and dished out one assist to lead the No. 3-ranked Vikings past Banks County Tuesday night at home. 

The Vikings (12-1-1) had no issue finding the back of the net. 

Maury Ibarra booted two goals, Freddy Rebollar had two goals and four assists and Pedro Arroyo scored one goal and served up one assist. 

Danny Velasquez and Romeo Serrano each had one assist. Daniel Carrillo had one save in goal.

The Vikings will travel to GAC April 12 at 7:30 p.m. 

 

EAST HALL GIRLS 6,
BANKS COUNTY 4

Dance Murrillo scored four goals to lead the Lady Vikings in the non-region win against Banks County at home. 

Carolina Sesmas and Yenifer Gomez each scored a goal in the win. Zion Martinez and Yesenia Santana each dished out one assist. 

Kaia Rice had 3 saves in goal for the Lady Vikings. 
 
East Hall (4-8-1) will travel to GAC April 12. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
