The Barrow County Sheriff's Office is warning the public after investigators recently found some PEZ candies laced with liquid narcotics.
PEZ is a candy that comes in dispensers marketed specifically to children. However, investigators say there's no evidence that the candies are or have been distributed to children.
"We firmly believe this is an attempt to disguise the illegal substance to fool law enforcement officers so the users can avoid incarceration," said a statement posted to the sheriff's office Facebook page.
The candies have been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab for testing.
