A man from Cumming died early Monday morning after he was involved in a single-vehicle wreck just south of Cumming.
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said Jake Navarro, 27, died in the wreck on Independence Trail.
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and Fire Department responded at about 12:13 a.m. Monday to the scene.
An initial investigation determined Navarro was driving a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder south on Atlanta Highway near Anthem Parkway. The vehicle then drove off the roadway, went through a fence on Independence Trail, then hit a tree.
Navarro was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remained under investigation as of Tuesday morning.
