Talmo Man arrested in Gillsville for stalking and methamphetamine possession

The Hall County Sheriff's Office arrested a man Saturday in connection to a drive-by shooting and an aggravated stalking case. 

Hall County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer B.J. Williams said Jesus Ruben Roma-Gil, 41, of Talmo had outstanding warrants for a drive-by shooting that occurred on Oct. 31. 

HCSO deputies responded on Nov. 3 at around 9:30 pm to a location on Turning Leaf Drive in Gilsville after receiving a 911 call from a victim of the Oct. 31 incident stating that Roman-Gil was driving back and forth in front of his home. 

The victim informed deputies that Roman-Gil was the man who allegedly shot at his home. 

Deputies did not find Roman-Gil initially but stayed in the area and located him nearly half an hour after the victim's first report. 

From the incident on Oct. 31, Roman-Gil faces charges of felony aggravated stalking (related to a female victim who lived at a home on Turning Leaf Drive in Gillsville), Felony aggravated assault (related to discharging a firearm in the direction of the home of a male victim who lived on Turning Leaf Drive; this is a different residence from the one where the female victim lives) and misdemeanor reckless conduct

The suspect faces misdemeanor stalking, Criminal use of an article with an altered ID mark (recovery of weapon in vehicle; the serial number on the weapon had been defaced),  possession of methamphetamine (jail officers discovered 1.2 grams of meth inside a dollar bill in the suspect’s pants pocket as he was being booked into the jail) and going inside guardline with weapon, liquor or drugs from the Nov. 3 incident.
