A pedestrian was killed in a wreck Tuesday morning in Hart County.
According to a press release from the Georgia State Patrol, the wreck happened at about 7:20 a.m. on Ga. 8 near Seed Cleaner Road southwest of Hartwell.
A Jeep Cherokee was reportedly traveling east on Ga. 8 when it struck Shiree Ann Lee, 58, of Hartwell, who was walking in the eastbound lanes.
Lee was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passengers of the Jeep were not injured. No charges are expected to be filed.
