The North Georgia Community Foundation recently announced it awarded nearly $560K in financial assistance to students across Georgia during its 2023 Scholarship Cycle.
A press release from the NGCF said it awarded 269 scholarships, the largest in its history. In total, it awarded $559,400 in financial assistance.
The NGCF awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors, current college students and non-traditional students who are pursuing various fields of study. The organization administers over 70 scholarship funds that each have their own specific criteria. Applications are reviewed anonymously and awards range from $500 to $15,000.
The funds are provided through the support of individuals, families, organizations and companies.
"I am thankful for the passion and dedication our fundholders have to fostering educational opportunities for students," Megan Martin, vice president of marketing and development at NGCF said. "Their generosity and investment cultivate a community that values education, philanthropy, and the pursuit of excellence."
