Alpharetta man convicted for sexually assaulting children in Hall County

By Access WDUN Staff
A Hall County judge has sentenced an Alpharetta man this week to at least 40 years in prison behind the convictions on a 2021 case of sexual assaults of two children.

Hall County Superior Court Judge Lindsey Barton sentenced Austin Patrick Eadie, 24, to life in prison with at least 40 years to be served behind bars for the assaults on the two juvenile victims.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office originally arrested Eadie in November 2021. The sheriff's office previously told AccessWDUN the crimes reportedly occurred between mid-October 2020 and September 2021.

District Attorney Lee Darragh said in a release the sentencing was for two counts of aggravated sexual battery, two counts of child molestation and one count of enticing a child for indecent purposes.

"The night before a Pre-Trial Calendar to set his trial date, the defendant cut off his ankle monitor and absconded, only to be arrested weeks later sleeping in a limousine in the Roswell/Alpharetta area," the release said.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Morgan Cox and Harold Buckler along with Inv. Joel Ayers and Victim Advocate Amy Ellis.
