By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

Lakeview Academy's Fine Arts Department is getting set to host its third annual Mane Event featuring live performances of holiday music in downtown Gainesville this weekend.

The event will be held both Friday and Saturday night at the Brenau Downtown Center on Main Street with musical performances in the facility's Walters Theatre. Both nights will include the "Home for the Holidays" concert, featuring a live band and Broadway vocalists.

Friday night, doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for "Family Night" with activities for children and a hot coca bar. Saturday night, doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for "Gala Night."

"(During Gala Night,) guests will have the opportunity to purchase a one-of-a-kind painting created by our featured artist, Leigh-Anne O'Brien," the event's website says. "Your participation will make a meaningful impact on (Lakeview Academy fine arts students') education journey and help to provide exceptional opportunities."
