The Gwinnett County Police Department Friday announced a second suspect had been charged in connection to a Dec. 6, 2023 home invasion incident.
Detectives reportedly charged Yenson Adrian Cedeno Acevedo, 29, of Lawrenceville, with home invasion after connecting him to the early Dec. incident.
Acevedo was already in the Gwinnett County Jail on unrelated charges, according to officials with the county.

One suspect was recently arrested and two others remain at large following a December home invasion in unincorporated Lawrenceville in which the suspects portrayed themselves as police officers.
The Gwinnett County Police Department said Luis Soto was arrested and charged with home invasion, two counts of kidnapping, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of false imprisonment, two counts of armed robbery and one count of impersonating a public official.
Officers responded to a home invasion at 1400 Herrington Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville on Dec. 6, 2023. The victims in the case told police that the three suspects grabbed them as they were returning home and forced their way into their apartment. The suspects were dressed in tactical gear and armed with guns.
Once the suspects were inside, they zip-tied the victim and his son and demanded drugs and money from the victim.
The suspects claimed they were federal agents and had the victim under surveillance for many months. They stole about $3,000 worth of sneakers and jewelry. The victims were able to free themselves after the suspects left and called 911.
Detectives were eventually able to identify Soto as one of the suspects in that incident.
Detectives conducted a felony traffic stop on Soto on Jan. 25 and he was taken into custody without incident.
"A subsequent search warrant was performed at a location associated with Luis Soto, where tactical vests, ammunition, police badges, and shoes belonging to the victim were located," the release said.
Detectives are still working to identify the two other people involved in the home invasion. Soto remained in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond as of Wednesday morning.
