Truett McConnell University announces new cybersecurity programs

By Megan Nelson Intern

Truett McConnell University’s Hans Hut School of Business announced on Mar. 5 that they will be adding several cybersecurity degree programs to their curriculum.

The courses, which will be available as soon as fall 2024, aim to equip students for the challenges of today's digital landscape.

Those who attend the university will soon be able to obtain a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in Cyber Security or they can participate in a dual degree program that combines a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an MBA concentration in cyber security.

Students who aren’t seeking cyber degrees can take cyber security as a business elective or they have the option to add a cyber security minor to their degree of choice.

New cyber security courses include:

  • Technical Foundations of Cyber Security
  • Data Protection and Management
  • Policy and Governance in Cyber Security
  • Artificial Intelligence for Cyber Security
  • Secure Software Development
  • Cybersecurity and Business Management

All cyber security courses will be exclusively available online.

“We emphasize ethics throughout our program,” the university said in a recent press release. “Which not only prepares students to excel academically but also equips them with a strong moral compass that will greatly benefit future employers.”

Truett McConnell University is a private Christian liberal arts and sciences school located in Cleveland, GA. They currently offer 50 different programs of study including bachelor's and master's degrees. They also boast a 17:1 student-to-professor ratio and readily available financial aid.
