GBI renews call for public assistance in Dawson County unsolved homicide

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation recently renewed its call for the public's help as it continues to investigate an unsolved 2008 homicide from Dawson County.

In a social media post, the agency said Cheryl Williams Frady, 44, was shot and killed in Dawsonville on April 5, 2008.

Frady was found unresponsive between 4 and 4:30 p.m. that day in her basement bedroom at her home on Brookwood Drive. Authorities arrived a short time later and found that she was dead with a gunshot wound.

Frady lived with her mother and stepfather and was last heard from at around 1:30 a.m. that day.

"The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Dawson County Sheriff's Office need your help," the post reads.

Anyone with information about the murder of Frady is asked to contact the GBI tip line at (800) 597-8477.
