Gwinnett County Board of Education approves several appointments within the district

The Gwinnett County Board of Education approved on May 16 the appointment of several individuals to various positions within the school system. 

The board approved the appointment of two new Cluster Superintendents, an Executive Director of Employee Relations, a Director of Special Education, and a new Director of Foreign Language.

Dr. Eric R. Davidson and Dr. Erin A. Hahn were named Cluster Superintendent for the Division of School Improvement and Operations.  

Dr. Davidson currently serves as the principal of Duluth High School, and Dr. Hahn currently serves as principal at Harris Elementary School. They will replace Dr. Terry Watlington and Dr. Bryan Long, who is retiring.

 Nicole S. Holcomb will become the Executive Director of Employee Relations for the Division of Human Resources. Holcomb currently serves as the division's director of Employee Relations.

Susan A. O’Neil has been named Director of Special Education Behavior/Therapeutic/Special Programs for the Division of Teaching and Learning. O’Neil currently serves as coordinator of Special Education in the Division of Teaching and Learning. 

Dr. Virin K. Vedder was appointed Director of Foreign Language for the Division of Teaching and Learning. He currently serves as coordinator of Foreign Language in the Division. He will replace Dr. Jon Valentine, executive director of Enrichment and Support Programs.
