The City of Gainesville is set to bring more music to the downtown square every Wednesday night in July.
The Hot Summer Nights series will kick off July 3 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Following the concept of the city’s Bluesky Concert Series, Hot Summer Nights encourages visitors to support local vendors and artists, shop local business pop-ups, and learn about a charity in the area.
“Hot Summer Nights are all about celebrating our hometown, with homegrown fun!” Main Street Manager Nicole Parham said in a release.. “As the sun goes down, head downtown for dinner, shopping and live music. If you want to hang out for a while, plan to bring your own lawn chairs or picnic blankets, or snag a spot on a bench in the park.”
Live musical performances from artists based in North Georgia will begin at 7 p.m. each Wednesday night. The Micro-Music Festival will be hosted by local musician and production artist David Cramer.
Free and covered parking will be available at all downtown parking decks, including the Main Street Parking Deck, located at 301 Main St.; the Gainesville North Parking Deck, at 100 Brenau Ave.; as well as the Hall County Parking Facility, located at 225 Green St.
