A Gainesville man was arrested on child molestation charges on Wednesday, Jan. 29 after an investigation that started in November of last year.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said Juan Pablo Ortega Ponce, 37 molested a female victim, who is under the age of 16, at a home on Sardis Drive.
HCSO deputies were first informed of the incident on Nov. 12, 2024, after the victim told a family member.
Ortega Ponce knew the victim before the crime occurred.
He was taken to the Hall County Jail and remains in the jail without bond.
