It was a busy weekend across Northeast Georgia, with a variety of events vying for the public’s participation.
One of the largest is the long-running Lula Railroad Days Festival and Parade which drew some 3,000 people to downtown Lula for the 10 a.m. parade. City officials said the number of parade entries was the highest in recent years, with the parade taking nearly an hour to make its way from Second Street to McLeod Street.
In Cornelia, the Northeast Georgia Veterans Jamboree offered entertainment, food, information and resources to area veterans and their families at the Cornelia Community House.
