The Towns County Sheriff's Office credits cooperation from the community on reporting drug suspicions behind the arrest of two people from Hiawassee for alleged cocaine possession.
Towns County drug investigators received a tip regarding drug activity on Saturday at the home along Happy Valley Road in Hiawassee.
During the investigation, officials said probable cause was found to search the residence, leading to the discovery of cocaine.
Sheriff Ken Henderson's office says Jason Cole Lampert, age 41, and Samantha Jolee Dye, age 28, were arrested and each were charged with Felony Possession of Cocaine.
Sheriff Ken Henderson said he appreciates the community's willingness to report criminal and drug activity to assist the Towns County Sheriff’s Office.
