A GoFundMe page has been created for a family whose Gainesville home suffered significant damage in a Saturday morning fire.
The Gainesville Fire Department previously told AccessWDUN that the home on Springview Drive caught fire early Saturday morning. The fire was extinguished at about 2:30 a.m.
The GoFundMe page said the Carney family was out of town and no one was hurt at the time of the fire.
"Unfortunately, everything in their house burned or is ruined due to smoke damage, including Ryan’s car which was in the driveway," the GoFundMe page reads. "I am asking for donations for this sweet family as they now do not have any of the bare necessities, as well as Christmas presents for the boys and any of the essentials needed for caring for a newborn."

An early-morning weekend fire heavily damaged a home on the north side of Gainesville.
A release from the Gainesville Fire Department said crews were called to the home on Springview Drive early Saturday morning and found smoke and fire coming from the building. The fire was reportedly put out shortly after 2:30 a.m.
Officials said no one was home at the time of the fire. Gainesville Fire Division Chief Josh Sheridan said the entire home suffered heavy smoke damage, while the building's kitchen and attic areas suffered "significant damage."
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office.
