Riverside Preparatory Academy has named Richard Crumley as academic dean of the academy effective June 1.
Crumley has been with Riverside since fall 2022 when he was hired as the assistant dean of cadet development.
The announcement came after the retirement celebration of Dr. Cathy D. Moore who spent three years as academic dean.
“I am thrilled to accept the position as Academic Dean and continue on the Riverside Prep leadership team,” Crumley said. “The opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of young people is a job I do not take lightly. Every day provides an opportunity for growth and success and helps shape the leaders of the future.”
Richard Crumley has over 30 years of experience in education spending two decades in high school administration and seven years as principal.
President COL(R) Stanley “Staś” Preczewski, Ph.D. described Crumley as “A strong leader who demonstrates genuine care for students.”
