By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is providing a free training course for its female residents who want to better defend themselves from attacks.

The Women's Self Defense class will be held Monday night, February 26th, from 6:30pm until 8:30pm.  The course is free of charge and open to Forsyth County residents.

A social media post on the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office page says the course is designed to teach women situational awareness by reviewing case studies of previous abductions. Some hands-on training is provided but limited.

It is designed to be for women only and teenagers 14 years of age and older can only attend at their parent's discretion due to mature content.

No registration is required.  More details can be found at https://www.facebook.com/ForsythCountySO
