Hall County authorities arrest two suspects after seizing over $120,000 worth of illegal drugs

Two people were arrested Wednesday after a search warrant uncovered nearly $120,000 worth of illegal drugs at a home in the 3200 block of Roy Parks Road. 

Hall County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer B.J. Williams said Johnny Ray Tanner, 56, of Gainesville, and Jessica Paige Dean, 32, of Oakwood were arrested after HCSO drug agents allegedly found more than three pounds of methamphetamine following a year-long investigation.

K9 units with the HCSO and the Gainesville Police Department found the drugs hidden in multiple locations around the property. 

Williams said investigators also found psilocybin mushrooms, 66 alprazolam tablets and more than one ounce of marijuana. 

During the search authorities found two rifles, a shotgun and two handguns. A skid steer that was reported stolen was also found. 

Tanner was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, sale of methamphetamine, trafficking of methamphetamine, possession of psilocybin, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and theft by receiving (stolen skid steer)

Dean was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, sale of methamphetamine, trafficking of methamphetamine, possession of psilocybin, possession of a schedule IV drug (alprazolam tablets), possession of a schedule IV drug with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. 

Both remain in the Hall County Jail with no bond.
