GAINESVILLE - Plans are in the works for yet another medical office complex on Gainesville's east side.
The proposal calls for two, three-story buildings on a 10-acre tract on Jesse Jewell Parkway near New Holland Elementary School. That's also near where Northeast Georgia Medical Center is constructing a new medical building that will be the new home for the Imaging Center.
JHME Properties LLC will go before the Gainesville Planning & Appeals Board Aug. 12 with its plans for the 135,000-square-foot facility.
As part of the proposal, the developer is asking that "ancillary retail uses" be allowed as well, such as eyeglass sales, pharmacy and "potential restaurant uses."
