ATLANTA (AP) A former DeKalb County official is facing a federal bribery charge.

The U.S. Attorney's office accused Jerry Clark on Friday of illegally receiving $3,500 bribe. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Clark served as a member of Zoning Board of Appeals until 2013.

Prosecutors said in court filings that Clark solicited and accepted a bribe in exchange for influence on transactions involving the county government. The transactions were valued at more than $5,000.
Authorities did not immediately release details on the alleged circumstances.
Clark and his attorney, R. Gary Spencer, both declined to comment.
