Planning board to consider 74-acre mixed-use development in South Hall

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor

Plans for a mixed-use development on Friendship Road, which include a 132-lot subdivision, are scheduled to be heard by the Hall County Planning Commission Monday.

WE Flip, LLC, is requesting that the 74-acre tract be rezoned to Planned Residential Development and Suburban Shopping to clear the way for construction of the single-family subdivision and a commercial/retail component that would include a convenience store and grocery store.   The commercial/retail part of the development would sit on 16.54 acres and total 143,100 square feet, according to documents on file with county officials.

The subdivision would include homes ranging in size from 2,000-2,500 square feet and amenities such as tennis courts, a swimming pool, and clubhouse.

The planning commission meets at 5:15 in the county government center.

The planning staff has recommended approval of the application.
